The Symposium on Image Recognition and Understanding (MIRU) is one of the largest conferences on computer vision, pattern recognition and related technologies in Japan, attracting more than 1,000 participants every year. Companies and organizations that participate as sponsors are able to exhibit a wide range of basic technologies, products, application examples, and initiatives to a diverse audience of researchers, engineers, and students who will lead the next generation of researchers, engineers, and students.

MIRU2024 will have four categories of corporate sponsorship plans: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. In addition to complimentary registration for MIRU, corporate sponsors will receive a exhibition booth, a logo on the website, and an introduction video. Platinum sponsors will have the option of organizing an event. Take advantage of this opportunity not only for research discussions, but also as a place to communicate with participants for recruiting and collaboration.

Notes

Application

  • A maximum of one application for a sponsorship slot is allowed for the same company.
  • Whether or not a company exhibits is optional and must be selected at the time of application.
  • Each company is required to prepare its own logo and introductory video (30 seconds or less).

Registration Privileges

  • Complimentary registration will be provided for an organization. It is possible to share the registration pass in the same organization.
  • Corporate participants can attend the main conference, corporate exhibitions, and sponsor events. Individual registration is required for presenters who will give oral, poster, or demonstration presentations at the conference. You may use the sponsor registration for the secondary presenter at the poster or demonstration session.
  • If you wish to increase the number of participants in the corporate exhibition or corporate event, please register separately as an individual.

Exhibits

  • Corporate exhibits will be held on August 7 and 8. August 6 and August 9 are for logistics and setup.
  • The size of the desk is 1800 mm wide, 600 mm deep and 700 mm high.
  • The name board will be 900 mm wide and 200 mm high with monochrome printing.
  • The size of the back and side panels will be 900 mm wide, 2100 mm high arranged according to the booth space. Sponsors may use pins for attaching posters to the panels.
  • Free Wi-Fi will be available at the venue, but we cannot guarantee stable communication. If you require a stable network environment for your exhibit, please make your own arrangements.
  • If you require more power than is provided as the standard plan, please provide details on application.
  • We will provide an optional display for an additional fee of 99,000 yen for platinum and gold sponsors. The display size is 55’’ for the platinum sponsor and 42’’ for the gold sponsor. Please contact us by June 30 for details.
  • A sponsor can arrange the booth layout. We show layout examples below:

As an exclusive benefit for Platinum Sponsors, you may organize and run a corporate event during the post-conference hours (after 6:00 p.m.) on tutorial days, the first day, and the second day of the exhibition. The conditions for holding an event are as follows

  • A fee of ¥132,000 (including tax) will be charged in addition to the Platinum Sponsor fee.
  • The event must be in line with the purpose of the conference. The Executive Committee reserves the right to refuse an event if it deems it inappropriate. Due to the convenience of the venue, the number of exhibitors will be limited to 3 on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • All expenses other than the venue fee, as well as planning and operation on the day of the event, will be borne by the event organizer.
  • The event may be restricted due to infectious disease outbreaks or venue availability.

Procedure

The application period has ended.

  • The deadline for payment of the sponsorship fee is July 20.
  • Seibu Travel Co will contact sponsors regarding the payment process. It may take up to 3 weeks to issue the invoice. Seibu Travel Co is a qualified invoice issuer (T2013301006266).
  • We will contact you if you apply for a Platinum sponsor event.

Logo submission

We request sponsors to send a logo image file to miru-industry@mail.ieice.org by June 30, 2024.

  • Format: JPEG, PNG, WebP, SVG, PDF
  • Resolution: 1024x1024 pixels or more
  • Size: 10MB or less

If you do not submit a logo file, we will print the name of your company/organization. Let us know if you have any special instructions or guidelines regarding the materials. We will contact you when we finalize the design of the program booklet and a signage board.

Video submission

We request Platinum and Gold sponsors to send a video file to miru-industry@mail.ieice.org by June 30, 2024.

  • Video format: MPEG4
  • Length: 30 seconds or less
  • Audio: Optional
  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9 recommended
  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080 recommended (If the resolution is different from the recommended one, we will resize to 1920 x 1080)

Disclaimer

The organizer of MIRU2024 (hereinafter referred to as “the organizer”) reserves the right to change the duration of the event (date and period of the event), venue, or form of the event, or to cancel the event due to force majeure such as natural disasters. The organizer will not compensate for any damage caused by such changes. In the event of a change in the exhibition’s duration, venue, or format for any of the aforementioned reasons, the sponsorship shall remain in effect for the changed duration, venue, or format, and the sponsorship cannot be cancelled due to such a change. In the event that the organizer changes the duration and/or venue or cancels the event due to the organizer’s circumstances, or in the event that the organizer determines that the benefits of sponsorship have been significantly impaired, a partial or full refund of expenses will be made upon mutual consultation between the sponsor and the organizer.
