On July 28, a very large earthquake occurred in Kumamoto Prefecture and the surrounding areas. We would like to express our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the disaster. We sincerely hope for a swift recovery and the earliest possible return to normal life.

Regarding MIRU2026, scheduled to be held next week in Nagasaki, we would like to provide the following update as of now.

Impact on the Venue and Conference Operations
There are no safety issues with the venue building, and there was no particular impact on the use of the venue for events on the day of the earthquake.
However, train services operated by JR Kyushu were temporarily suspended, resulting in delays. When traveling to the venue, please check the latest transportation information and allow plenty of time for your journey.

If you have difficulty participating in or presenting at MIRU2026 due to the impact of the disaster, please contact us through the MIRU2026 Contact Form.
