MIRU2026 will be held on-site as a general rule. Please note that remote streaming will not be available.

Participation Fee

MIRU2026 has set the following participation fees.

* For registrations completed by 11:59 AM on June 30, name tags will be prepared with the registrant’s name and affiliation printed on them. For registrations completed after that time, we will not be able to print the name and affiliation. A name tag with blank name and affiliation fields will be provided on the day of the event, so please fill them in at the venue.

  • All prices include tax.
  • Registration entitles you to receive a copy of the Extended Abstracts (electronic data) and participate in all sessions, including tutorials.

Registration Categories

Please refer to the following details to determine which registration category you fall under.

  • You are eligible for PRMU or CVIM Member registration if you are currently a member of one of the following:
    1. A registered member of the Special Interest Group on Computer Vision and Image Media (CVIM), Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ), including standard members, student members, senior members, and supporting members.
    2. An annual member of Pattern Recognition and Media Understanding (PRMU) of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), or an annual member of all research groups of the Information and Systems Society (ISS) of IEICE.
    3. A supporting member of an organization that has registered for an organization group which registered for CVIM in 2026. In this case, your organization group has a limited amount of registration slots. Please check with your organization to confirm wheather slots are still available.
      • Example: Company A has 5 registrations as supporting members with IPSJ. If 3 of these registrations are used for CVIM 2026 annual memberships, up to 3 employees of the company can register under the “PRMU or CVIM Member” registration category.
  • Regular (IEICE or IPSJ Member) refers to members of IEICE or IPSJ. However, if you fall under the “PRMU or CVIM Member” category listed above, you may register at that rate. We encourage you to take this opportunity to become a member of IPSJ or IEICE and also register for the relevant SIG.
  • Senior refers to individuals who are 65 years of age or older as of April 1, 2026.

Important Notes

  • At least one author of each paper must register under PRMU or CVIM Member or Regular.
  • One PRMU or CVIM Member or Regular registration may be linked to multiple papers. There is no limit to the number of papers that can be linked. For example, if two students from the same laboratory each submit one paper as the first author, their supervising co-author should register under one of the above categories and link all paper numbers to that registration.
  • Please complete the registration linked to all your papers by June 30, 11:59 AM (early registration deadline).
  • For the paper number, please enter the Paper ID number displayed in Microsoft CMT. If you forget to enter the Paper ID, please contact Seibu Travel (str_miru@seibugroup.jp).
  • Please note that registration cannot be canceled after completion.
  • The Extended Abstract is a closed document, so please do not redistribute it.

Payment Method

Please make a credit card payment at the time of registration. (The only payment method available is credit card.)

Registration Process

  1. Please enter the required information on the application page and make a credit card payment.
  2. After registration and credit card payment, we will send your registration details via email.
  3. Regarding receipts, you are able to issue receipts yourself from the URL provided in the email. For more details on receipts, please read the FAQ below.

FAQs Regarding Registration

  • Q. About receipts
    • A. A URL for issuing receipts will be sent via email after registration. Please log in with your reception number and password.
      • How to issue a receipt
        1. After logging in, your registration details will be displayed.
        2. Please enter the name and press the “確認する” button.
        3. The confirmation screen will be displayed, so please check the contents and if there are no mistakes, press the “領収書を発行する” button.
        4. The receipt issuance will be completed. The receipt PDF will be displayed in a new window or new tab, so please save the PDF.
      • Notes
        • Parts other than your name and title cannot be changed.
        • In principle, the receipt can only be issued once. The issuance date will be displayed as the date you press the “領収書を発行する” button.
        • The receipt can be printed up to five times in PDF format.
  • Q. Is payment by invoice possible?
    • A. No, we can only allow payment by credit card.
  • Q. I registered for the wrong registration category. What should I do?
    • A. You will need to re-do your registration. Please contact str_miru@seibugroup.jp for canceling and refunding the current registration. Afterwards, please re-register in the correct category.
  • Q. Does the registration include taxes?
    • A. Yes, all registration tiers include 10% sales tax.
  • Q. I am working at a company but am also enrolled at a university (Shakaijin-Doctor). Do I qualify for a student registration?
    • A. Generally, please determine based on your primary affiliation and purpose of participation (e.g., if the purpose is to present university research, the student category is appropriate).If you are unsure, please contact us via the contact form.
  • Q. I want to confirm which category to register in.
    • A. Please check the page above. If you have any remaining questions, please reach out to the MIRU2026 organizing committee.
  • Q. I found out I cannot participate the event anymore. Can I refund?
    • A. No, registrations are final and cannot be cancelled.
  • Q. Are the banquet and welcome reception fees included in the registration fee?
    • A. Yes, they are included.
  • Q. What are the exact fees of the banquet and welcome reception?
    • A. As they are included as part of the registration fee, we are unable to disclose their exact amounts separately.
  • Q. Is it possible to attend only the banquet or welcome reception without registering for the event?
    • A. No, attending only the banquet or welcome reception is not possible. Please complete a full event registration.
  • Q. Can participants who use sponsor registration benefits also attend the banquet and welcome reception?
    • A. Yes, they can attend.
  • Q. When registering for the event, I indicated whether I would attend the banquet and welcome reception. Can I change my response later?
    • A. Yes, you can. The attendance response provided during registration is only a survey to help us estimate the number of participants, and is not an official registration for the banquet or welcome reception. Therefore, you may change your attendance decision depending on your schedule on the day of the event, without contacting the organizing committee.
  • Q. Can you issue an invoice-compatible receipt?
    • A. Yes, we can.
  • Q. Is lunch provided?
    • A. Lunch is not provided. However, some events such as sponsor events may provide lunch. Please check the event page for more information.
  • Q. Is there any compensation in case of bad weather?
    • A. We will not compensate for damages caused by force majeure such as natural disasters.
  • Q. Who owns the copyright to the presentation materials?
    • A. The copyright belongs to the presenter. Reuse, modification, reproduction, redistribution, and distribution of the materials are prohibited.
  • Q. Are recording prohibited?
    • A. Recording, screen capturing, or taking screenshots may be prohibited at the request of the presenter. If such prohibited conduct is discovered, we may refuse your participation in future events.

Accompanying Participants

  • Family of a registered participant who is junior high school age or younger can accompany the registrant for free. Note, that we also provide a nursery service for younger participants. Please check the information on the nursery service.
  • For participants with disabilities, diseases, pregnancy, or similar reasons needing an accompanying person, or if there are other reasons which might make you eligible for an accompanying person, please discuss your circumstances with the organizing committee through the contact form.
  • The above companions do not need to register to participate (no participation fee applies).

  • MIRU2026 does not compensate participants for any damage caused by force majeure such as natural disasters.
  • The copyrights for presentation materials (including text, images, videos, audio, etc.) belong entirely to the presenter. Reuse, modification, distribution, and broadcasting of these is prohibited.
  • Additionally, at the request of the presenter, capturing and recording may also be prohibited. If such actions or misuse are discovered, the MIRU Committee may ask the individual to refrain from participating for the rest of the conference.
