Guide for Submission under the ISS Symposium and Transactions Concurrent Review System

This guide summarizes the important points for authors who aim submit a paper to both the symposium and the IEICE Transactions on Information and Systems under the ISS Symposium and Transactions Concurrent Review System.

1. Submission Format

Submit the same content as the paper submitted to the symposium by converting it into the standard format for IEICE Transaction submission. The number of pages and layout may differ from the paper submitted to the symposium. Note that, unless otherwise instructed by the symposium organizers, papers submitted to the symposium must follow the format specified by the symposium.

2. Submission Site

Submit through the same site used for regular IEICE Transaction submissions. When submitting, select the option that includes the name of the symposium for concurrent submission. For details, refer to the symposium’s call for papers.

3. Submission Deadline

Unless otherwise instructed by the symposium organizers, the submission deadline is the same as the symposium submission deadline. In principle, submissions will not be accepted after this deadline.

4. Review Process

The review process will be conducted independently according to the regulations of the IEICE Transactions on Information and Systems and is separate from the review conducted by the symposium. The schedule and results of the acceptance decision may not necessarily align with those of the symposium.

5. Procedures upon Acceptance

Follow the same procedures as for regular journal publications, including payment of the publication fee according to the regulations. If the paper is publicly available through the symposium, follow the symposium’s instructions to remove it upon journal publication.

6. Others

For any matters not specified in this guide, refer to the standard submission guidelines and regulations for IEICE Transactions on Information and Systems.
